Presumably, this little lady of ours will inherit some of her great-grandparents' wonderful traits, so their memories live on in us. Her kicks, tumbles, and frequent dances remind me that the circle of life continues to rotate. I can only hope she gains the strength of the remarkable people who came before her. Most of my close friends tell me she will be strong like her momma (despite my inability to bench press the bar in high school), and I pray for her sake that she develops a strength of her own. My bladder, sciatica, and round ligament will tell you one thing: her kicks sure are strong. Keep growing strong and healthy, Vincenza. You have a world just waiting to see all of the wonderful qualities you have to share with it.
Oh, by the way, here we are enjoying 6 months pregnant on Wednesday.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa but it sounds like he lived a wonderful life! Vincenza's got a pretty amazing family to come into! (And she's got one adorable mama!)

Danielle, I'm so sorry for your loss! It's so weird when our parents and grandparents are getting old, and new babies are coming into the family. I just have one grandparent left, but my husband has all 4! You have a great perspective on how Vincenza will pick up certain traits from family members. I see so much of my husband in his grandparents, and wonder which of those things will pass along to our kid.

Did your family take the RV to the funeral? It looked like it in your IG photo. 93, wow. What a long life! I hope that will hold true with the rest of your family, including little Vincenza. I can't believe you're already 6 months along, crazy!
