Pure Comfort

This past weekend on Instagram, I asked for feedback on this sweater. Ginny wasn't a fan. Ashley was. I decided to try it on again when my mom was at the mall with me. She loved it and told me that she wasn't so sure about it when I first texted a picture of it to her. Once she saw it in person, she absolutely approved. Anything that earns Mom's approval is worth the cost. Right?

Guys, it's the softest sweater, and I am in love with it. Plus! It has not a stitch of wool in it. I call it my unicorn of sweaters. The Limited's new Olivia Pope line is so very lovely (and expensive). Thankfully, I scored this sweater 50% off. I figure I will wear it on long car rides, plane rides, on the weekend, and even to work. It will earn its keep in my closet. Once I realized that I put it on wrong (don't even ask), I liked it five times more.

The Look:
Sweater: The Limited (exact)
Shirt: The Limited (not current)
Necklace: J.Crew Factory
Leggings: Target
Booties: hand-me-down from Momma

  1. When you posted it on IG, I wasn't totally sure, not because I didn't like it, but because I knew it would probably work best over long sleeves and I wanted to see what that looked like. Now that I'm seeing it, it's lovely! Plus the fact that you love it so much makes it an easy decision, glad you picked it up!

  2. How did you put it on wrong?! I know you said not to ask, but you saying not to ask made me want to ask even more. I want to see you unzip it and belt it up. Please? Even if just on IG? I love the texture of it, I think there are so many things you can wear under it (maybe a dress? oh wait, no, you like to wear your dresses over your sweaters hahaha), aaaand it looks like it covers your bum? Leggings approved? Mamma approved? Wool-less? Jackpot.

  4. That sweater looks like it was a great buy! I've been obsessed with Scandal and have been spending my afternoons binge watching it on Netflix while I'm home on maternity leave so is it bad if knowing that it's part of that line makes me want it even more?! :)

  5. I absolutely love it! Big comfy sweaters have been so appealing to me lately. I think you've styled it perfectly with your striped top underneath. I can't wait to see what else you do with it!

  6. This looks like such a cozy sweater! I love how it looks with the striped shirt! I like the short-sleeve sweaters with long-sleeve shirts underneath look so I'm always drawn to them when others style them :)

  7. Soft sweaters are the best! I like Kate's idea of wearing it open like a vest too! Add a big crumb catcher and you'll be super cozy!
