We try round two of the root canal today since six shots of novocaine proved useless last time. Wish me luck that he does not drill into my nerve and I still feel it this time around.
I went to the ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor yesterday and came bearing CT films as a gift.
You know you have super sinuses when the specialist's response to your x-rays is "WHOA. No wonder you've been in so much pain." You know me, I'm always here to impress.
Apparently, I have pan sinusitis. My teaching English to the common teenager informed me that pan means all, so I predicted that "pan" sinusitis fell into the not-so-fun category. Two of my sinus cavities are completely blocked, but ALL (where "pan" comes into play) of my sinuses are impacted in some way. Supposedly, he should have seen a wall in there. Nope, no wall. Just lots of gray. Speaking of gray, I like these gray pants. Thanks for designing them, J.Lo.
The Look:
Sweater (reversed item): Apt 9 via Kohl's (it was surprisingly difficult to style! Very similar one from Old Navy)
Button up: Old Navy (it's surprisingly versatile. Similar gingham one from Forever 21)
Pants: J.Lo via Kohl's (similar from Old Navy)
Flats: via DSW (very similar from Zappos)
Necklace: New York & Co. (similar from Stella & Dot)
(Sometimes, my eyes disappear when I smile.)

I don't know how you manage to look so good while you're sick. I look like a thing of nightmares when I'm sick, so kudos to you. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea for a reverse 30x30.. if I had more foresight/thought (whatever the word is) I would have planned htis out and joined you. What's your verdict on this sweater? I really like it with this outfit
ReplyDeleteI think I'll be trying this challenge soon! I've been all about upcycling thrifted finds but I'm definitely intrigued by playing with my own closet!

I could see why this sweater would be hard to style. I think it's because you can see through it. I have a similar pink one. I love love lovee those pants though! I've been wanting to find a good pair of gray skinnies to wear to work. May have to check out kohls.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you have been dealing with this illness :( Also, love the pictures, read your post yesterday at school, but your pictures were blocked. Meant to look at home and forgot. Today I'm a looking in my phone. So glad I did, you always look great but I do love the new pictures with the fancy camera :)
ReplyDeleteBoo for all the health issues....hang in there and get better soon! On a happier note, you look ADORABLE!!! And happy that i could help with the trouser search!! :) Yay for 30x30 remixing challenge!!
ReplyDeleteyou look very pretty! i certainly hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog last night via Fizz and Frosting (maybe? I think?) and I love your style! Your idea for the reverse 30 by 30 is a great one, and I plan to do it soon. Although I have a blog, I'm not super comfy putting "me" out there, so I've been keeping my own private lookbook on my computer and my goal for 2014 is to do a different challenge every month. January was a traditional 30 by 30, which was kind of torturous! February is a Pinned it and Did It month, and I think you've given me a great idea for March! What a great way to clean out the closet before Spring starts. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDespite your crappy health issues (holy moly, does that sound painful!!!), you look so cute, Danielle. I love gray and navy together (GRAVY!), and those pants look great on you.
