Casual Date Night Look

Today's look is pretty much a shameless copy of this one. (Funny story: Kate sent me this look almost an hour after I pinned it. Girlfriend knows me well. If only we could meet all of our blog friends in real life, right?) I opted for cobalt shoes because cobalt is usually the best answer, regardless of the question. I think I've finally mastered "work to weekend" looks. I think. Of course, now that I've figured them out for the winter time, spring will be here, and my weekend wardrobe will befuddle me once again. Anyway, I can add this one to the weekend line up. 

Yes, all of you were right. I loved Frozen. Then again, how could I not?

Oh, our media specialist chose tomorrow's Trendy Tuesday theme (after I annoyed him for several days). I knew he'd pick a good one, and it is! The theme? "Un-Anything: Unzipped, Unbuttoned, Untucked. Just not undressed." Clever, right? See, dudes are fashionably creative, too. 

(Today's look would qualify, but I have another one lined up for tomorrow.)

Comments: 

Put on these tights this morning and realized they were control top. Holy squeeze. 

DUDES at work commented on my outfit. One said, in all seriousness, "I'm really liking this color combination. Picking up on the lime in the dress with the lime cardigan. And those boots? My wife is a lover of boots. She'd love those." When a dude compliments your outfit, YOU BLOG IT. 

I thought there was some hummus trapped in my scarf, but I can't find it. New name for scarves? Crumb catchers.

Tile Store

Good afternoon, folks.

I'm making this one a quick one because we're back to work on putting in new flooring in the kitchen and dining room. We've hit quite a few hiccups, so things are progressing slower than we anticipated. However, that's pretty normal with this family.

Anyway, we went to the tile store this morning to pick up more thinset and grout. I decided to look presentable for the first time in five days. You're welcome.

It's a converse kind of day.

And now for the full-body shots (not that kind of body shot, perverts.) 

We need a new welcome mat.

Wish us luck on today's tiling adventure. (Actually, we have yet to tile. Like I said, lots of hiccups. More like a belch.)

Fun fact: right after Jeff took these pictures, I dropped my sunglasses and popped out one of the lenses. Luckily, the lenses pop in as easily as they pop out. Awesome.

Weekend Style

My growing number of dressing room shots exponentially increases my cool factor.

Or lameness.

Whichever. 

Anyway, I really felt this outfit was worth sharing. When I ran errands, the top half hid under my coat; I needed to share the rest with someone. Okay, so the SAT kids saw my outfit that morning, but who counts a room full of seventeen year olds? I don't. I especially don't count the gawker. Every SAT I proctor, there is always a kid who finishes most sections early and then proceeds to awkwardly gawk (is there any other kind?) at me, the proctor. I hope he tests as well as he gawks. 

Are four bows overkill? Bow earrings, bow necklace, bow belt, bow shoes? 

Meh, whatever. I like it.

These pants are my favorite pants.

This scarf is my favorite scarf.

This cardigan makes me yearn for spring.

I took in four items. I bought zero.
